Abstract

This study explores the research landscape of Traditional Medicine through bibliometric analysis, focusing on its development within the contexts of Social Sciences and Arts and Humanities from 1946 to 2024. Utilizing the Scopus database, 2,145 English-language articles were systematically selected based on their relevance to the field. By employing performance analysis and science mapping techniques, the study identifies key trends, influential publications, and emerging research themes. Results highlight the interdisciplinary nature of Traditional Medicine, connecting cultural practices, medicinal plants, and healthcare systems. Bibliometric maps reveal significant contributions from countries such as China, India, and Africa, emphasizing their role in shaping global health narratives. Additionally, this study underscores the integration of traditional practices into modern healthcare and cultural preservation, offering insights for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of Traditional Medicine’s academic and cultural relevance, emphasizing its potential for innovation and sustainable health solutions.
